This August, the first ever SpongeBob Run in Asia happened in Singapore at the iconic Sentosa Siloso beach! Were you one of the participants too?
We were pretty excited to be part of this event! Being the bentomama, my hands got itchy and I decided to prepare some food for the family to bring out.
I prepared some tuna pizzas.
Fried some chunky fries. The fries looked a bit ugly because I'm supposed to dust the strips of potato lightly with cornflour, but I put too much flour (probably lack of skill) and that explains the white spots. However, the fries taste really good! Something like MOS burger fries, my fave kind of fries, chunky and soft on the inside. Will definitely try again for an improved version.
Since I have so much oil left after frying the fries, I might as well fry more stuffs right? So I continued to fry some more scallops and nuggets.
So we are all ready to set off for our run!

We parked our car at the Beach carpark and proceeded to walk to the starting point, the time was around 4.15pm but by the time we reached the starting point, it was already nearly 5pm!
How come?!!!!
It wasn't very far actually but we took such a long time because probably because of inappropriate footwear (crocs), my boys were struggling to walk in the sand.....a large part of the journey was on the sand and while walking, we saw the participants of the 800m Kids Dash running past.

When we finally reached our destination, the 5km run was already starting......

Since we are not running, we shall proceed to have some fun at the carnival.
Our boys are not allowed to play with any gadgets at home so naturally, they are the happiest at this booth because they can play with this paw-patrol game on i-pad. We can receive a special gift upon downloading a free app from Nickelodeon but my hubby's reply was: "Erm, I'm worried my phone might not have sufficient memory for the app." And the person seemed a bit lost at his answer, well my hubby is holding Samsung Ace, have you even seen or heard of this model? Eons ago probably?
Free Spongebob vitamins which do not taste very nice

Next, we shall explore the food section...the boys can't wait to get their hands (mouths) on the cotton candy.
