Butter Cookies

Okay, so our program for today will be a baking session with the boys! Because I'm not a very good baker and baking with the boys can be a challenge...everything got to be as simple as possible.

So my recipe for our butter cookies today only consist of 3 ingredients! Yes! Only 3! And they turned out really buttery and melts in your mouth. It is indeed a very pleasant surprise! Haaa.. So I will definitely make my own butter cookies in future, they taste great.

Recipe for 3 ingredients butter cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 125 g unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp of sugar
Method
  1. Beat the butter (at room temperature) for about 1 minute until they change to a pale color and somewhat looks fluffier.
  2. Add the sugar and continue beating for about 5 minutes until the mixture turns very creamy and all the sugar has melted. It will look like buttercream now.
  3. Add in the flour and mix well with a spatula. The dough will be very very soft now so my advice is it will be better to pipe them on baking paper and then pop them into the oven.
  4. Preheat the oven at 160 deg. Bake the cookies for 15 min. The cookies are supposed to be pale in color so don't bake till they turn brown.

And you are done! Enjoy!

* They will be quite soft when freshly out from the oven so let them cool down first and they will be crisp and nice!

The only bad thing about these butter cookies is that you will finish them ALL in no time! So watch the calories!
