EZPZ mini mat by Mumspick - (Review and Giveaway)

I had a good laugh when I saw this video about EZPZ mat. Can you relate to this? Well, I can because I have 3 boys too! 

Thanks to Mumspick, who is the exclusive distributor of EZPZ in Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and Malaysia, we are so excited to have the chance to review the mini EZPZ mat! Actually, Rayson and Rayden, who is 6 and 4 respectively, should be using the EZPZ Happy mat and not the mini mat. However, I prefer the mini mat's size as it's more portable and comes with a reusable bag!

Like all of EZPZ's products, the Mini Mat is an all-in-one placemat + plate that suctions to the table. The mat is made from 100% food-grade silicone that is BPA, BPS, PVC, latex and phthalate free. 

Although the size of the mini mat is designed for infants/toddlers, well you know there is always "second helping"..........

Attractive

I love the colours! There are so many colours to choose from for the Mini Mats. And colours just make me happy and increase my appetite. I'm sure it works the same for children.

The Mini Mats, which seem to smile at you, are partitioned such that the "eyes" and "smiling mouth" holds portion size of food which is catered to infants at 2oz, 2oz and 4oz.

Honestly, I do not know how much that is but I do know "Portion" is a magic word for young children, they just find food so much more appetizing when you offer small portions of everything. Agree?

Mess free!

The ezpz mini mat suctions well to the table hence greatly reducing the number of "accidents" during meal times. It is perfect for those little hands which are learning to self feed.

It's a plate and placemat all-in-one making cleaning up so easy because the mat would have caught the morsels of food and you can just peel the mat off and wash it.

You can just wash it with some water and detergent and everything will come off. If the food isn't oily, wiping it with a damp cloth or wet wipe will do too!

Portable

The mini mat's size makes it really friendly to bring it out. It's compact and lightweight and comes with a reusable bag, perfect for dining out and travel. In fact, you can just pop it into your diaper bag and bring it everywhere you go because it fits most high chairs, especially IKEA's, yea! Why yea? Because IKEA'S high chair is so common at restaurants. 

Easy to clean and store

As mentioned previously, it's a breeze to clean the mini mat. Beside being dishwasher safe, mini mats can also be used in microwaves and ovens. (up to 350 deg) 

That means you could actually pop your mini mat into the oven to prepare some baked pasta and serve it straight to your little ones, so convenient! (always ensure that food is properly cooled down before serving of course)

The mini mats are also easy to store as they can be stacked.

Last but not least, they are built to last (silicone is bendable and flexible and doesn't fade, corrode or deteriorate). This is probably the one and only placemat + plate you will ever need. That is unless you are going for all the colours! My eyes are certainly twinkling at the limited edition mini mat in berry.

Final Verdict

We love the mini mat because it makes meal time more vibrant and fun. When food is served in these lovely mats, it really feels like those kids' set meals in restaurants. My boys have been queuing for their turn to use our lime mini mat these days. 

However, I wish that the height of the "plate" can be higher. Its height is less than an inch, hence the food drops out of the plate easily when my boys tried to use spoons to scoop the food. 

So, maybe an EZPZ bowl will suit me better?

The other downside might be the pricing which some might feel to be on the steep side. However, remember that you are paying for quality! Do refer to Mumspick's  website for more details on their EZPZ products and respective pricings.
